Sharon Chou is a Ph.D. doctoral student in clinical psychology at the University of Manitoba and a clinical associate with the Clinic Psychology Manitoba team. She works under the supervision of Dr. Abdulrehman. She has training to work with adults in a range of settings. Sharon’s areas of clinical interest include working with adults with various psychological concerns including trauma, anxiety, relational difficulties, bereavement, and depression. She is particularly interested in working with women in the perinatal period (pregnancy and postpartum), posttraumatic stress disorder (including complex trauma), various anxiety-related disorders (including generalized, panic, social, somatic symptom, illness disorders) and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Sharon values collaboratively working with clients and takes an integrative approach that tailors interventions to meet the individual needs of each client. She integrates cognitive behavioural therapy, cognitive processing therapy, emotion focused therapy, psychodynamic, and humanistic approaches.
