Elena Bilevicius, M.Sc., PhD Candidate
Elena Bilevicius is a Ph.D. doctoral student in clinical psychology at the University of Manitoba and a clinical associate with the Clinic Psychology Manitoba team and works under the supervision of Dr. Abdulrehman. She has extensive training working with adults and couples. Elena has clinical experience in a broad range of settings, and is also currently a Psychological Assistant at the Anxiety Disorders Clinic at St. Boniface Hospital. Elena’s areas of clinical interest include working with adolescents and adults with various psychological concerns such as anxiety, trauma (including intimate partner violence), stress, and depression. She is particularly interested in obsessive-compulsive disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, and working with women during the perinatal period (pregnant and postpartum). She takes an integrative approach to therapy, with the goal of finding an approach that meets the needs of and is tailored to each individual client. She integrates cognitive behavioural, acceptance and commitment, narrative, and humanistic approaches.
Elena is passionate about giving back to the community. She is involved in a number of volunteering efforts, most notably with Swimmingly – one-on-one swimming for exceptional needs.
